Her musical career began when she received an electric bass for a Christmas gift. That led to a stint in a college punk rock band called Smack Badger. She later learned guitar and began writing and playing her distinctive style of melodic-rock that melds fluid music with honest, direct lyrics. Gwen plays as the front girl for The Certain Someones. She currently lives in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago.
