Dangerous Letters
©2000 Gwen Greer
You don't have to come outside and you don't have to talk with me
Must is not a word I'd use to ask you to take this walk with me
I feel poetry on the breeze, it's swirling round and round me
On the wind
On the wind
I've been watching you a while and I see you are shy
Let's break the ice right now and tell me how to you get high
Answer me in lyrics sweet and cadence soft and deep
On the wind
And you don't have to come from Mars
You don't have to blame the stars
And we won't use any dangerous letters
Like U and I
Something says to me this could be a sweet short story
Who will you choose to be?
And when will you see
there's no guarantee?
So what you say to me I will try to understand
This may sound a bit forward but will you be man tonight?
Let your tongue do all the work, let me hear something nice
On the wind
And you don't have to come from Mars
You don't have to blame the stars
You don't have to show your scars
You don't have to act so hard
We won't use any dangerous letters
We won't use any dangerous letters
We won't use any dangerous letters
Like U and I
